Build a YouTube Channel That Teaches, Grows & Converts.
Email marketing, marketing automation and online-business education — built around Yemi as the educator, with MailerWave as a natural implementation tool rather than the identity of the channel.
01
Channel Strategy
YemiOnline is the personal education and audience-building channel. MailerWave is part of the business ecosystem underneath it.
What YemiOnline is for
Build an audience around email marketing, marketing automation, sales funnels, lead generation and online business.
Create a searchable, interconnected library of useful long-form videos.
Use practical tutorials, experiments, teardowns and builds to establish Yemi as the educator.
Naturally demonstrate MailerWave when it is the appropriate tool for the job.
Turn YouTube attention into an email audience, then into relevant business opportunities.
What YemiOnline is NOT
Not a corporate MailerWave channel.
Not a random ‘make money online’ channel covering unrelated topics every week.
Not a product-demo channel where every video is about a feature.
Not a channel that depends on Shorts for its main watch-hour strategy.
Not a channel that sacrifices usefulness just to chase clicks.
The Four Content Pillars
Pillar 1 — LEARN
Teach fundamentals: email lists, lead magnets, welcome sequences, automation, segmentation, funnels and deliverability.
Pillar 2 — BUILD
Show viewers how to implement what they learn: funnels, sequences, automations, lead magnets and complete systems.
Pillar 3 — GROW
Focus on outcomes: list growth, conversions, affiliate marketing, selling products, launches and business growth.
Pillar 4 — EXPERIMENT
Real tests, teardowns, case studies and build-in-public content. Never invent results; show what actually happened.

🎯
The YemiOnline philosophy: Teach first. Help second. Sell third. The viewer should first think, “Yemi knows what he’s talking about,” before they ever think about MailerWave.
02
Channel Setup
Keep the visual identity professional and personal. The channel should clearly belong to YemiOnline, not look like a disguised MailerWave company channel.

0:00–0:30HookHook
I wanted to find out something a lot of people building an email list secretly wonder: can a simple email sequence actually produce a meaningful result in just five days?
So I decided to test it.
For five days, I focused on one simple system: five emails, each with a specific job. No complicated funnel. No pretending I had a massive audience. And I’m going to show you exactly what I sent, what happened, and—most importantly—what I learned.
If you’re building an email list right now, this experiment may save you a lot of wasted time.
0:30–2:00The starting pointThe starting point
Before the experiment started, I defined the rules. I had [INSERT REAL STARTING POINT]. My audience was [INSERT AUDIENCE]. The goal was [INSERT REAL GOAL].
I wasn’t trying to prove that email is some magical money machine. I wanted to test whether having a deliberate sequence would create a better experience than simply collecting subscribers and sending random broadcasts.
And that distinction is important because a list is not a business by itself. The system you put around that list is what gives it value.
2:00–8:00Day-by-day breakdownDay-by-day breakdown
Day 1 was the Hook. The purpose wasn’t to sell. It was to make the subscriber understand what they had signed up for and give them a reason to keep reading.
Day 2 was the Story. I wanted the reader to see a real person rather than another company sending another generic email.
Day 3 was the Value Drop. One useful idea. One framework. One quick win.
Day 4 was the Bridge. Instead of suddenly saying ‘buy this’, I connected the problem we’d been discussing to the logical next step.
Day 5 was the Close. Clear message, clear offer, clear action.
Your results may be completely different from mine. That’s why the process matters more than one headline number.
[SHOW REAL RESULTS: opens, clicks, replies, conversions, unsubscribes, etc.]
The most interesting part wasn’t even [INSERT RESULT]. It was [INSERT OBSERVATION].
What this experiment showed me is that email marketing isn’t about sending five random emails and hoping somebody buys. The sequence has a job. The emails have a relationship with one another.
And once you understand that, you can start building systems instead of constantly wondering what to send.
11:00–13:00LessonsLessons
If I had to repeat the experiment, there are three things I’d change.
First, [LESSON].
Second, [LESSON].
Third, [LESSON].
But the biggest lesson is simple: don’t confuse having subscribers with having an email marketing system.
A small list with a relevant offer, useful content and a thoughtful sequence can be far more valuable than a large list that receives random messages.
13:00–endCTACTA
If you want to learn the actual five-email sequence I used as the foundation for this experiment, watch the next video I’m linking here. I break down each email, what job it performs and how the sequence fits together.
And if you want to build your own sequence step by step, I’ve also created a free 5-day email challenge. That’s in the description.
But start with the next video because that’s where I break down the system.
0:00–0:30HookHook
You can have 100 subscribers, 1,000 subscribers or even 10,000 subscribers and still make little or no money from your email list.
And if that’s happening to you, the answer may not be ‘get more subscribers.’
There are several things that can go wrong between someone joining your list and becoming a customer. In this video, I’m going to walk through the biggest ones and show you what I’d fix first.
0:30–2:00Problem 1 — No welcome sequenceProblem 1 — No welcome sequence
The first problem is what happens immediately after someone subscribes.
Someone gives you their email address because they are interested right now. And then they receive one generic thank-you email—or nothing at all.
That is a huge missed opportunity.
A welcome sequence gives you a structured way to introduce yourself, deliver value, set expectations and guide the subscriber toward the next logical step.
2:00–4:00Problem 2 — No trustProblem 2 — No trust
The second problem is that the emails don’t build trust.
People don’t need you to become their best friend. But they do need a reason to believe that what you’re saying is relevant and that your recommendation is worth considering.
Use useful information. Explain things clearly. Tell relevant stories. Show your reasoning. Give people small wins.
Trust is built through repeated evidence, not one giant sales pitch.
4:00–6:00Problem 3 — No clear journeyProblem 3 — No clear journey
The third problem is that every email is disconnected.
Monday: a random tip. Thursday: a promotion. Next week: another random tip.
The subscriber has no idea what any of this has to do with the last thing you sent.
Instead, think in journeys. What should a new subscriber understand first? What problem should you solve next? What should they believe before you introduce an offer?
When the emails have a relationship with one another, the list becomes a system rather than a broadcast channel.
6:00–8:00Problem 4 — Wrong offer or timingProblem 4 — Wrong offer or timing
The fourth problem is the offer itself—or when you introduce it.
Sometimes the offer is completely unrelated to why the person joined.
Other times the product may actually be good, but the pitch arrives before you’ve established enough context.
The solution isn’t to never sell. Email marketing is a business tool, so selling is part of the job. The key is relevance and timing.
8:00–10:00Problem 5 — No segmentationProblem 5 — No segmentation
The fifth problem is treating every subscriber exactly the same.
Someone who just joined your list should not necessarily receive the same message as someone who has clicked three times on a particular topic or someone who has already purchased.
You don’t need a complicated segmentation system on day one. Start with simple distinctions: where they came from, what they are interested in, whether they bought, and whether they are engaged.
10:00–12:00The fixThe fix
If I were fixing an underperforming list today, I’d start with a simple system.
First, create a useful lead magnet.
Second, build a five-email welcome sequence.
Third, create a regular content rhythm.
Fourth, make your offer relevant to the problem you’re solving.
Fifth, introduce basic segmentation as your audience grows.
You don’t need 25 automations to start. You need one good customer journey.
12:00–endCTACTA
If you want to see exactly how I’d build that five-email welcome sequence, watch the video I’m linking here.
I walk through all five emails, what each one does, and how they fit together.
And if you want to build the sequence yourself, there’s a free 5-day challenge in the description.
But watch the sequence video next—it will make everything we just discussed much more practical.
0:00–0:30HookHook
Someone just joined your email list.
This is one of the most valuable moments in the entire relationship because the person has just told you, ‘I’m interested.’
And yet a lot of businesses send one email saying, ‘Thanks for subscribing,’ and then disappear.
So in this video, I’m going to show you the five-email welcome sequence I’d build for almost any online business.
0:30–2:00What a welcome sequence doesWhat a welcome sequence does
A welcome sequence is simply a planned series of emails that a new subscriber receives automatically after joining your list.
The goal isn’t to pressure somebody into buying immediately.
The goal is to move them from ‘I just discovered you’ to ‘I understand what you do, I trust your expertise, I have received value from you, and I know what the next step is.’
And that is why the order matters.
2:00–4:00Email 1 — The HookEmail 1 — The Hook
Email number one is the Hook.
This email should confirm what they signed up for, deliver the promised resource if there is one, set expectations and give them a reason to open the next email.
Don’t write a five-paragraph autobiography.
Make the reader feel like they made a good decision by subscribing.
Your subject line should earn the open, and the first few lines should earn the read.
4:00–6:00Email 2 — The StoryEmail 2 — The Story
Email number two is the Story.
This is where you create context and connection.
Tell a short story that relates directly to the problem your audience is trying to solve.
The point isn’t to make yourself the hero. The point is to help the reader recognize their own situation in the story.
You want them thinking, ‘This person understands the problem I’m dealing with.’
6:00–8:00Email 3 — The Value DropEmail 3 — The Value Drop
Email number three is the Value Drop.
Give them something they can actually use.
It could be a framework, a checklist, a mistake to avoid, a simple process or a useful insight.
Don’t hold back all the good information because you think free value prevents sales.
Useful free content can demonstrate your expertise and make the next step more believable.
8:00–10:00Email 4 — The BridgeEmail 4 — The Bridge
Email number four is the Bridge.
Now you connect the problem you’ve been discussing with the solution you offer.
If you sell a product, explain why it exists.
If you’re an affiliate, explain why the recommendation is relevant.
If you have a service, explain what problem the service solves.
The key is that the offer should feel like the logical next step—not a completely unrelated advertisement.
10:00–12:00Email 5 — The CloseEmail 5 — The Close
Email number five is the Close.
Make the offer clear.
Tell the reader exactly what to do next.
Use social proof if you have legitimate proof.
Give a reason to act if there is a real reason.
Don’t manufacture fake scarcity.
One clear action is usually better than five competing links.
12:00–14:00Timing and automationTiming and automation
The exact timing depends on the business, but a simple starting point could be one email immediately, followed by the next emails over several days.
The important thing is consistency and relevance.
Once the sequence is written, put it into an automation workflow so every new subscriber gets the same thoughtful onboarding experience.
Then monitor the data and improve the sequence over time.
14:00–endCTACTA
Now you have the basic five-email framework.
If you want to see me actually build an email funnel from scratch—including the opt-in, sequence and automation—watch the next video.
And if you’d rather build your own sequence step by step, I’ve created a free 5-day email challenge. The link is in the description.

YouTube SEO, Titles & Descriptions
Make videos discoverable, but don’t turn every title into a keyword list. Topic, packaging and viewer satisfaction come first.
Title Rules
PriorityClear promise + curiosity + accurate representation.
KeywordsUse the natural phrase viewers would search for when it fits.
NumbersUse numbers when they make the promise clearer.
LengthDo not obsess over an exact character count; make the title readable and compelling.
AvoidFake urgency, misleading claims, guaranteed-income claims and unnecessary ALL CAPS.
